This all natural cold process, homemade bar soap is loaded with saponified calendula flowers, and has a sprinkling of dried calendula petals on top as well. I formulated this herbal soap to gently cleanse red and irritated skin. Calendula has been used for centuries to reduce redness and irritation of skin. I use naturally grown calendula petals from my own herb garden and add them to the soap before it is fully traced. This brings the goodness of calendula flowers to your skin, but is a little kinder to your tub and drain. The oils used in this soap are designed to gently cleanse and calm skin, without being harsh or increasing irritation. Lanolin, castor oil, and cocoa butter make this an extremely soothing bar of soap, while coconut oil and palm oil make a nice, fluffy and creamy lather. The vitamins and protiens in honey and tussah silk fibers make this a great soap for dry or tired skin.
This bar of soap is scented with a phthalate free fragrance oil with notes of lavender, herbs, and just a hint of lime. It is a very pleasant, but not overpowering floral scent with just a bit of zip from the lime. It is a creamy white bar with swirls of yellow, colored with titanium dioxide and iron oxides, wrapped in linen paper adorned with our antique inspired label. Each bar weighs in at 4-6 oz.
Our orders go out in a kraft box stamped with the image of a vintage bee skep and filled with kraft paper shreds. This soap makes a wonderful gift for women, teachers, nurses, or yourself.
