The all natural Happy Camper Bar Soap is scented with the insect repellent essential oils of Lemongrass, Peppermint, Lavender, and Thyme. It’s scent is predominantly the bright citrusy smell of lemongrass with undertones of lavender. It is made from coconut oil, palm oil, rice bran, a high percentage of shea butter, water, lye, tussah silk fibers, and honey from our own beehives. This cold process soap gives a gentle, bubbly, yet creamy lather that leaves skin feeling soft and smooth. It is colored with natural minerals, making a yellow and green swirled bar, reminiscent of sun shining through green leafy trees. Each bar is wrapped in linen paper with our antique inspired label and weighs 4 to 6 oz.
Just a word to the wise, lemongrass repels most unwanted insects, such as mosquitoes, but does attract honeybees. It smells remarkably similar to pheromones that the queen secretes. We wash the boys hair with it if they’re going to be out and about where there are mosquitoes. One night after their bath we got a call on a swarm of bees in a neighbor’s yard. The bees weren’t sure if they should congregate on a branch or on one of the boys’ heads. They remained calm, and no one got stung, as the bees were just checking them out to see why they smelled so good!
